Life’s Beautiful Simplicity

April 25, 2012 § Leave a comment

Instead of being pessimistic… I would much rather be happy and stop along the way to enjoy the sweet scent of flowers, the beauty of a rainbow, the cold fresh spray of a waterfall, the fiery sunrise, walking barefoot through the dewy morning grass, hearing the geese honk as they fly through the white new sky, and stooping down to closely inspect a tiny spiderweb gingerly resting atop a the tips of five blades of grass, its perfect pattern traced by dew droplets. I would much rather do this than aim for the most horrific hypothesis, which stems from a kind of thinking that would grotesquely permeate every step of life’s journey, just because it might be right.
